Product Details
Tzero MKIII is REL's entry point and the smallest subwoofer the company makes — a sealed cabinet a little over nine inches tall, with a down-firing 6.5-inch long-throw driver whose cone is anodised aluminium, on 100 watts of NextGen Class D. Extension is 37Hz at -6dB in room.
What makes it a REL rather than a small subwoofer is what it does not leave out. The full connectivity suite is here, including the High Level input that takes its signal from the amplifier's speaker terminals so the subwoofer inherits the tonal character and timing of the main loudspeakers, plus a separate .1/LFE input with its own level control so film and music levels can both be set correctly and left alone. REL is direct about the limits: this will fill a small or medium room properly and it will not pressurise a large one. For a study, an apartment, a second system, or distributed through a larger space in multiples, it is the least compromised way into what a real subwoofer does.
