Description
HT/1003 MKII is the entry point to Serie HT — a 10-inch CarbonGlas driver on a 300W Class D amplifier in a compact sealed cabinet, following the same naming shorthand as the rest of the range.
It is built for small to medium rooms, and REL is clear about where its limits fall: for larger spaces the answer is a stereo pair, or stepping up to the HT/1205 MKII or the Predator. Unlike the larger Serie HT models it is not intended for vertical line array stacking, though multiple units work well as stereo pairs or as part of a multi-subwoofer theatre layout — which, in a room with more than one row of seating, is usually the better answer anyway. The CarbonGlas cone is light and stiff, and the amplifier runs cool enough to sit in a closed cabinet without the thermal problems that used to come with the territory.
