Product Details

Description

The McIntosh MX124 succeeds the MX123 as the centerpiece of a McIntosh home theater — a command center for source switching, immersive decoding, room correction, bass management, and video routing, built to anchor a system for years rather than a product cycle. It carries no onboard amplification; it is designed to run a full complement of McIntosh power amplifiers and a projector or television, in the role only a dedicated processor plays well.

Thirteen audio channels and four independently managed subwoofer outputs — double the MX123's sub count — support configurations up to 7.4.6 or 9.4.4, decoding Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, Sony 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H. Seven HDMI inputs and three outputs (one eARC) run 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG throughout, and Dirac Live Room Correction with Bass Control plus Audyssey MultEQ XT32 both ship fully licensed. Roon Ready with native Qobuz, TIDAL, and Spotify Connect, and Control4-certified at launch. Available at LMC — walk in during business hours or book ahead.
