MBL 120 MKII RC

The MBL 120 MKII RC is the center-channel version of the 120 MKII — MBL's compact Radialstrahler supplied as a single unit on its own dedicated center stand for multichannel and home-cinema systems. Because the Radialstrahler radiates in every horizontal direction simultaneously, the center channel carries the identical voice of the left and right speakers — none of the lobing and timbre shift that plague conventional horizontal center speakers. For a cinema anchored by a pair of 120 MKII or larger Radialstrahlers, the 120 MKII RC is the matched center that keeps dialogue locked to the same soundstage as the music.

The radial HT37 tweeter and MT50 midrange distribute sound in every horizontal direction, producing the open, room-filling presentation that defines the Radialstrahler family, while a pair of 6.5-inch aluminium bass drivers in push-push arrangement cancel recoil forces against the cabinet and keep the low end tight and controlled down to 61 Hz. The MKII crossover uses premium Intertechnik components, and new WBT connectors replace the previous terminals.

The RC ships on a dedicated center stand — lower than the stereo 120's stand — so the acoustic center sits at screen height and integrates visually and technically with the rest of the system. Each speaker weighs 17.5 kilograms without its stand. Standard finishes span piano black or piano white with gold or chrome accents; custom colors available.
