Linn Selekt DSM Classic Hub

The Selekt DSM: Classic Hub is the streamer-only variant of Linn’s Selekt DSM platform — the mid-tier network music player in Linn’s DSM lineup, refreshed in 2024 with a new chassis and feature set. Where the Klimax DSM sits at the reference tier with its precision-machined enclosure and fixed Organik DAC, and the Majik DSM anchors the entry tier as an all-in-one, the Selekt DSM: Classic Hub is where Linn’s modular DSM architecture first becomes tangible.

The engineering premise for Selekt DSM is modularity. The Classic Hub is Linn’s streaming-only configuration — an Exakt Link output for driving active loudspeakers, analog line inputs, MM and MC phono inputs, and streaming service integration for TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Roon, and the wider Linn music streaming ecosystem. Space Optimisation room correction is standard. The Selekt DSM: Edition Hub steps up from Classic Hub by adding modular Organik DAC and Power Amp cartridges internally; both variants share the same chassis, same core DSM software, same Space Optimisation.

The Classic Hub is the natural specification for a Linn system where the Selekt is the source and switching hub, feeding external amplification (Linn or otherwise) driving passive loudspeakers, or feeding Exakt-Link into Linn active loudspeakers directly. It is also the platform where a listener can start today and upgrade toward Edition Hub configuration over time by adding Organik DAC cartridges.
