Clearaudio Satisfy Carbon Fiber

The Satisfy Carbon Fiber is the upper-tier expression of Clearaudio’s Satisfy tonearm platform — the direct step-up from the aluminum-armtube Satisfy Black, and the arm fitted to Concept, Concept Wood, and Performance DC turntables as their reference Satisfy option. Beyond the Clearaudio range, the all-black variant is also supplied as the Signature Black tonearm on the Clearaudio Signature turntable.

The technical decision that separates the CF from the Black is the armtube. Where the Satisfy Black uses a low-mass rigid aluminum tube, the CF uses a carbon-fibre tube — exceptionally light and rigid, and better damped than aluminum can achieve. The bearing story is also elevated: handmade Swiss vertical and lateral bearings, adopted from the watch industry, using polished tungsten points against sapphire thrust pads (the more refined bearing formulation compared to the Satisfy Black’s tungsten steel and polished sapphire). A two-piece aluminum headshell with adjustable azimuth allows the precise alignment sophisticated stylus shapes need to deliver their best stereo imaging.

Anti-skating is applied by a non-contact magnetic system that acts on the side of the bearing housing — no physical linkage to introduce noise or drag. The tonearm is hardwired with Clearaudio’s Direct Wire cable, terminated in gold-plated RCA plugs, providing an unbroken low-resistance signal path from cartridge pins to phono preamplifier. Effective mass 9 g, cartridge balance range 2.5–17 g, 9-inch (239 mm) effective length, 17.5 mm overhang.
