The Burmester InWall Woofer is the dedicated bass unit for the Burmester architectural loudspeaker system — designed to complement the InWall S&C satellites so an in-wall configuration can be scaled to a full three-way response that matches the tonal character of a free-standing Burmester system. Where the InWall S&C alone carries mid and treble register, the addition of one or more InWall Woofers extends the frequency response downward into the range that gives music and film soundtracks their weight.

The engineering rationale for a dedicated in-wall woofer rather than a floor-standing subwoofer is that a properly designed architectural system should be tonally coherent through the walls — the crossover between the satellite’s low-frequency roll-off and the woofer’s upper-frequency roll-in should happen at a specific frequency and phase relationship the installer can hit reliably, room after room. A shared in-wall enclosure family lets the installer treat the whole loudspeaker system as a single acoustic element rather than a bolted-together compromise.

Sold per unit for flexible configuration — typically integrated as part of a larger multi-channel architectural installation, with woofer count matched to the room’s bass demand and the number of channels served.
