The Klimax specification includes the Ekstatik reference MC cartridge, Ekos SE tonearm, Keel arm board and subchassis (machined from a single billet), Radikal II motor control unit with Utopik power supply, and the Urika analog phono preamplifier. The Radikal II is Linn's most advanced motor control, digitally managing speed control and monitoring every platter rotation for near-perfect 33-1/3 and 45 rpm stability. Its bespoke Utopik power supply uses separate self-regulating voltage rails for motor and phono circuitry, enabling both sections to perform without interference.

Built into a precision-machined aluminum chassis weighing nearly 14 kg and mounted on high-mass feet, the Klimax LP12 offers outstanding mechanical and electrical isolation.
