Description
The C49 is the solid-state preamplifier one tier below the C53 and C55: two balanced and three unbalanced analog inputs plus moving-coil and moving-magnet phono, and six digital inputs on the DA1 module (two coaxial, two optical, USB and MCT) with DSD256 support. It uses bass and treble controls rather than the eight-band equaliser, and carries the High Drive headphone output with HXD. McIntosh has recently retired it. This is an LMC demonstration unit.
