D’Agostino Debuts the Progression Neo Series at High End Vienna
Dan D’Agostino introduced the new Progression Neo Series at High End Vienna 2026, a launch the brand calls a complete evolution of the Progression platform. The new Monoblock Amplifiers, Stereo Amplifier, and Neo Preamplifier carry technology inherited from the flagship Momentum and Relentless lines, housed in a redesigned chassis of machined aluminum and copper accents built around D’Agostino’s signature illuminated power meter.
On the show floor, the Progression Neo Monoblock Amplifiers and Neo Preamplifier drove a system built around Wilson Audio Alexia V loudspeakers with a dCS Vivaldi Apex Stack digital source, giving showgoers a full sense of what the new electronics can do together rather than on their own.
Inside the Progression Neo Series
Dan D’Agostino describes the Progression Neo Monoblock and Stereo Amplifiers as a complete sonic rebirth rather than a simple refinement, built by weaving flagship-tier JFET technology from the Momentum Z line directly into the Progression platform. A redesigned input stage is engineered to eliminate noise and capture micro-level musical detail, and independently regulated input stages are designed to maximize spatial accuracy and channel separation.
Each Neo Monoblock is built around an 1,800 VA custom transformer and 96,000 microfarads of capacitance, with output rated at 400W into 8 ohms, 800W into 4 ohms, and 1,600W into 2 ohms. Across the Neo lineup, the Monoblock and Stereo Amplifiers are rated to deliver up to 1,600W (mono) and 1,000W (stereo) per channel into 2 ohms, while the Neo Preamplifier gains a 66% increase in operating rail voltage for wider dynamic swings along with an ultra-low noise floor.
A new Dual Domain Display is built into the brand’s familiar analog power meter chassis, adding real-time system information without changing the look the Progression line is known for. For the first time, the Neo Series is also offered in a more compact form factor, which D’Agostino says brings flagship-level performance to a wider range of listening rooms.
Dan D’Agostino says the response to the debut at Vienna High End 2026 exceeded expectations, with the show giving visitors a chance to experience the all-new Progression Neo Series alongside recent updates to the flagship Relentless Z line. The Progression Neo Series is expected to arrive this fall.
