Il Cremonese Ex3me speakers are designed to deliver an uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound, without any interpretation of the musical message. Il Cremonese Ex3me combines elements from the original project, such as midrange and woofers, with cutting-edge solutions to create Sonus faber’s 30th anniversary concept speakers. The Il Cremonese Ex3me loudspeaker maintains the quintessential and recognizable “Rhomboidal Diamond Design” of the original model. The cabinet’s 5-sided shape breaks the rules of the traditional lute or lyre shape, resulting in cleaner lines and a more modern design. The absence of parallel walls removes standing waves and internal reflections that could compromise the acoustic characteristics of the speaker. To further strengthen the cabinet, two “Dampshelves” made from solid billet aluminum at the top and bottom of the speaker increase rigidity, lower resonance, and reduce spurious noise to preserve the purity of the musical message.
